Rebar Entranceway Trellis
This piece was fabricated entirely from rebar. The structural elements are 3/4 inch diameter, the decorative work is 1/2 inch diameter. All the bending was done cold, by hand. The arch is 9 feet wide, 3 feet deep and 7 feet high at the center. It is anchored by two feet of rebar in cement at each of the four corners. The side panels are 1/2 inch on a 3/4 inch frame built by the same technique. They are 6 feet wide, 3 feet tall.
This particular style is intended for climbing plants. A simplified or much more complex design and the addition of a gate are all possible.
